Down for the outing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFRcUkNlKSM
The set list was 'popular' on the whole. From what seems to be most new we should note brilliantly played Down for the Outing and Cell Ceiling Blues. From the rare songs - Black Boy Lane. And one cover http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEX6wrcTNW8 on request
These two convey the spirit of the evening perfectly well: http://static1.purepeople.ru/articles/1 ... 20x0-1.jpg

Now that I've cooled off a bit I might give yall a short insight and share my piece of happiness.So.. Let's start with a gig in St.Petersburg where I was not present this time. It wasn't a solo gig but a participation in a kind of a festival. The rumors were Peter has argued with some drunk youngsters across the stage border, which lead to them hitting his head with a glass (plastic one, luckily). This resulted with him singing around 6 songs and leaving the stage in what looked to be utter annoyed mood. However the management reported they took it all easily and still had fun during the night, which made Moscow fans breathe again cause we were scared he might cancel the gig due to this incident. So they decided to give Peter the most warm welcome so that he wouldn't fall out of love with Russia )They met him at the railway station. He was dressed 'very Russianly' - wearing a fur hat (remember I told you he was preparing to Russian gigs) and a striped navy vest. What happened to him afterward is beyond my knowledge. The gig in Moscow was VERY badly organized. With the announced start at 8 pm, they have actually started letting people in at about 8-30. Me and my friends were queuing in the VIP queue (imagine!) for a good hour, and still without any movement. It was my broken arm which let us get it through compassion of security. The venue was PACKED. From the balcony the first floor looked like an ant house, literally. It was 9 pm, 9-10, 9-20, 9-30. No warm up act, nothing. But Peter's guitar on stage clearly indicated it IS going to happen. Noone was mourning, people kept waiting in silent excitement. At 9-40 Peter hit the stage, they say he got there alone, through the main gate. He went on stage in his outwear, took the coat off and started straight ahead, with a bottle of Captain Morgan in his pocket. Furtheron I'll try to describe the atmosphere by the quotes of several fans: ' I don't care how much lines of coke does the man need so far he does this magic to each and everyone in the venue', ' last time I saw him 24 hours ago...', 'this charming drunk beauty has stolen my heart forever. God, save Pete Doherty', 'I can hardly remember the day I left the gig being that happy - I can't think of anybody else having such a powerful and kind energy', 'i'm so happy notwithstanding i've choked with Peter's vodka', 'there were people hopping over me, who were hopping over other people, who were hopping over Peter'In two words, it seemed to me, that Peter felt himself at home here. He even complained he's lost his passport after his stage dive. Eh... if only it was not a joke!
