last slice of A LIBERTINE ON THE ESSEX ROAD

here we go
the final piece of what turned into a pete doherty and performance poetry memoir

written over five months on a long remote beach in karnataka, india
begun in a month of mad wriitng,
of this obsessional piece,
which got longer and longer
and of two shows,
one completely new
and mostly learnt
by rote
for a tour which soon got postponed till next year
and which
ever extending piece
which became six episodes
i have finally finished on this same beach
in the ldyllic lockdown of burning Gokarna
where i am a thermometer about to empty itself upwards

cheers everyone and i hope you've liked it
it would be nice to hear from peter himself
or carl, or john
yet when you leave, you leave...
