Writtler Xinnia writtled Who else went? It was unbelievably good, the album songs sound excellent live. The audience were good too, lots of dancing and jumping but no one getting to rough. Met him outside after, is security was trying to get him on the bus but he wouldn't go until he'd made sure he'd seen everyone there and let then take photos and all. Brilliant night, can't wait for London this week now!
Writtler The little one writtled Amazing gig from Carl. Met the man himself afterwards, got some pictures and he chatted to us for a while. Lovely guy and he was looking mighty handsome! Thought he was on top form and and his choice of songs was spot on.
Carl Barat played Newcastle Digital on the 20/10/2010.
Writtler Jude writtled I recommend anyone go see carl! Just got back from the newcastle set and it was amazing. Good mix of old and new material... can't remember the order though. Def. didn't stick to the set list.
Met him outside afterwards but went all 'fanboyish\ (after promising myself i wouldn't), replete with dreadful jokes. I think carl could tell i was nervous cos he hugged me twice (and I'm a man)... the shame. Oh well, if nothing else came of it. I was actually trying to play it cool and start interesting conversations instead of the usual, but probably just came across like a rabbit in headlights. I know from past experience my self defence mechanism is to lace conversations with 'jokes'. Enough self-psycho analysis... I pretty much came across like this soliloquy. Oh well fuck it, I met Carl...

Writtler Carmine writtled Blimey, what to say about Carl last night? How the place went nuts like only a shabby little pub gig can for 'Time For Heroes,' 'Deadwood,' 'Don't Look Back Into the Sun' whilst Carl jumped around and engendered all of that brilliant energy that was always so great about the Libs and DPT?

Writtler Johnnyshambles writtled A really special night, Carl in fantastic voice, great backing dand and a nice crowd. It finished just too early though. great set, he did do Bang Bang by the way!

Writtler SMJA writtled "Just came back, it was great, I was right under the stage.
He played Run with the boys, Carve my name, So long my lover, The Magus, France, Don't look back into the sun, Bang Bang you're dead, not in that order and some other.
His brother and his girlfriend were playing too. She seems lovely, I don't know why some people don't like her.
I got the album signed, and a picture with Carl... And I have of much of the gig on video."
